Michelle Phelps, Founder, President of the Board, Chief Executive Officer

Michelle Phelps is the founder of Resolve Co-operative Leadership and Coaching. Based in Kansas City since 2018, she works with courageously-committed leaders and their teams to unlock potential and innovation, by bringing a co-operative leadership approach to help organizations and individuals triumph together.

Michelle started participating in her family's retail business as soon as she could walk and talk. In high school and college, she became Office Manager and Department Manager. She earned an MBA from Pittsburg State University after receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting and a minor in Economics (with honors). Michelle has spent over 28 years in executive financial leadership roles, including 22 years with a Top 100 (billion dollar) national commercial construction company. In 2017, Michelle participated in Seth Godin's altMBA.

Since then she has become certified as a Functional Medicine Health Coach, a Professional Co-Active Coach, a Neurotransformational Coach, and a Systems Thinking, Mapping and Leadership Trainer. Additionally, she has been trained in Organization and Relationship Systems Coaching and has earned a Certificate of Applied Positive Psychology.

In 2017, Michelle also founded the Brian Phelps Memorial Foundation, in honor of her late husband, to share with others what they had learned, together, during his challenging health journey. In 2021, she partnered with co-author Kimberly Dawson to co-vision and re-brand to REViVE Hope for Health, where she continues as the Board President and CEO.

A team-builder at heart, Michelle loves to explore, research and discover new ways to create meaningful change — continuously inspired by Brian’s journey and his legacy. She lives with her Jack Russell Terrier, Madie, and enjoys traveling, hiking, walking and biking on Kansas City trails and in the mountains and spending time with her extended family.
