Jay Alexander, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Board Member

Jay was born and raised in the Kansas City area and has been working in the fitness industry since 2015 when he began teaching yoga after discovering how healing movement could be. After beginning CrossFit in 2016, he became passionate about preventing and treating injury while continuing to pursue the improvement of overall fitness and health.

Jay received his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Minnesota in 2018, and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Kansas Medical Center in 2021. While completing his doctorate, Jay was selected to receive a research grant that allowed him to travel to Romania to study differences in orthopedic medical management and physical therapy between healthcare models.

Throughout his experiences working in the Western Medical Model and personal experiences with Holistic Approaches to physical and mental health, he has come to believe that there is no one "best" way to find health. He hopes that the work of REViVE can help others realize the vast array of options they have when it comes to pursuing optimal health. Jay is also passionate about making healthcare and fitness more inclusive and accessible for the LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and other communities that have previously been overlooked or excluded.
